Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday and I just wanted to take a chance to brag on her, since anyone who knows her knows she will never do it for herself!  My mom and dad both are truly my cheerleaders and have been there for me throughout my life.  I am beyond blessed to have both of them.  They worked hard to raise both my brother and I.  They have taught us so much about love and taking pride in what you do.

My mother has taught me so much and I could sit and ramble on, but I thought it best to just write a Top 10 List.  So here you go mom...

The Top 10 Things I've Learned from My Mom

#10 Always go after what you want in life!

#9 Working hard is a requirement to get where you're going.

#8  It's never a bad idea to pick up add another skill to your repertoire.

#7  Busy can be a part of life, and that's okay if it makes you happy.

#6  One can never have too many fonts...or too much clip art for that matter!

#5  Don't be afraid to laugh, especially at yourself!

#4  Creativity has no rules, don't be afraid to think outside of the box!

#3  Your husband is your teammate.  Respect him, support him, and remember he is your best friend!

#2  Your family are the most important people you'll have in your life.

#1  Love and serve God above all else, and remember your talents come from the Lord so use them for his glory and for blessing others.

Outside of being a wife, mom, and communications director my mom has also been a small business owner for most of my life.  I have seen her business go from small publications such as school handbooks to websites and the like.  She has added publisher to the mix in the last few years as well and now does that.  How she finds time to do all she does, I will never know.  Though I am told I'm just like her the older I get.  All I can say to that is, that there is no better person to be.  How she put up with me during my teen years is beyond me, but I know that the older I get the more I respect and love her every day for the lessons she has taught me and the values she has instilled in me.

So today on your birthday mom, I say thank you for all you do for our family.  We love you more than words!  You are our hero and our example and we hope you know how proud we are of you!

My mom is one who doesn't really need a lot of little trinkets a bobbles, so this year in her honor I am uploading this set of clip art.  Growing up my mom always told me her favorite animal was armadillos, so mom, here you go a set all your own to be used by children all over!

Happy Birthday Sheila Fredrickson!
